In early May 2018 sixty two Palestinians were killed in Gaza, including many children for simply throwing stones. They were shot by Israeli marksmen, using high powered rifles or munitions against which, the victims were defenceless. No Israeli perished and this was not the first or most recent such atrocity to affront the Palestinians. For me it was the tipping point that made me think again.
Murder of the innocent is wrong whether Seven million or Sixty two, and I am no anti-Semite for stating a simple truth.
Pressure exerted today on the Labour party “et al” to adopt the stringent rules of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance aims to silence all criticism of Israel. It is exactly this reason why Jeremy Corbyn is so reluctant to agree to accept those rules in full and thereby abandon his long held sympathies towards the Palestinians.
